An Incredible piece of handcrafted french studio pottery dated around the 1950s.

This stunning vessel has a great size to it as well as being heavy and texturised.

Its Ovid shape similar to an olive jar with a small 3.5 cm entrance hole in the top has a great aesthetic look to it.

The potter has initialed P/S  on the base but research has given me only the country of origin and era.

The texture feels like a volcanic mottle glaze, what makes this such a stunning piece is the shades of turquoise blues and greens with a brown undertone in areas, the colour changes in different lights.  

It has this wonderful grainy tactile feel to the touch and each area of the vessel is different to look at.

A statement stand alone or styled with one or a few tall dry stems.
