A 1960s - 70s beautiful bronze sculpture made by Fergus O' Farrell a well known Irish artist 
it depicts a heavy bronze sculpture of Madonna and child on an Irish stone granite plinth.
 
Fergus was known to create works with bronze that were modernist, stylish  and brutalist of Irish folk art, Celtic and religious themes.
 
The face of Madonna and  child holds a polished bronze look and around the feet area whilst the rest of the sculpture has a hammered rough texture the contrast is truly beautiful.
 
The piece has no overall damage and is in excellent condition for its age.
A piece of Irish history that will look beautiful placed within a home setting or office space.
