A wonderful 1950s lead crystal vase from Eastern Europe.
A technique known as  'cut to clear'  is used to create a thin layer of cobalt blue on to the crystal to create this stunning look. 
Starburst, diamond sections , geometric and vertical lines make up the design.
Tall with a flared body and a scalloped rim edge it really is a beautiful vase with flowers or just as a decorative piece.
Rare to find one in excellent condition.
