Possibly 1930s could be earlier,  A wonderful piece of studio stone has the age and beauty to become a stunning interior piece.
The frog sits solid inside and has multiple spikes to stand your stems upright as shown in photos above.
I feel this piece of stone has not only been purposely made but built around the frog.
The stone has markings with age and the odd splash of paint,  I assume it was in the potters studio this I prefer not to touch as it makes it truly unique.
The stone underside has a mark stamped.
The colour a dark beige with its rough edge changes in the light and overall is a very good size and heavy in weight.
Slightly asymmetric oval shape. 
No damage or chips to the stone just beautifully aged.
