This lovely old Jug has been hand made from  a heavy clay material of Terracotta,  The hand designs are of love hearts, butterflies, barley wheat and leaves it is beautifully decorated.

The jug itself is heavy and has a wide handle.

The spout has a chip ( shown in photo) but this adds to its charm. The base is flat and is in great condition.

This could be North African or late European.
