A huge nod to the 80s with this rare and collectable vertical hand painted vase.
This is ceramic and using a technique called slip casting this method allows liquid clay to be poured into a porous plaster mould which then drys and allows unusual shapes to be formed like this vase.
The vase design is based around the art deco era with its geometric triangular shape.
It is hand painted off white with blue, pink and grey pastel vertical stripes.
A little bit of history here - Susan and Mark Jamieson ran Promenade Pottery in Brighton between the 1970s and 1990s. Their pottery showcased in one of the arches on the promenade, the vases all have different designs and are very collectable.
This one is in exceptional condition.
